On the other hand, a diet rich in whole grains, fruits, and vegetables may have a protective effect against these mental health conditions.
It’s also important for medical professionals to understand the role of carbohydrates in the management of diabetes. Carbohydrates are the primary source of energy for the body and have a direct impact on blood sugar levels. A diet that is high in carbohydrates may cause an increase in blood sugar levels and require adjustments in diabetes medication.
